Kendra,
Interviews are hard for everyone! It's my experience that the more you do the easier they are...I've had so many in my life...My fingers are crossed for you too! Good luck!

Kendra,
Skip ahead to the Role Transitions Session. My transition is going from a full time Mom to an empty nester with my daughter going to college out of State. She's a Junior this year. After doing the exercises in that session, I am on the other side of the transition or have walked to another room as Davit said. My daughter is leaving tomorrow for Pittsburgh. Before I would cry for hours and spiral into depression. Now, I focus on the positives of my new role and I can now hug her and look forward to seeing her for Thanksgiving break. I know it's okay to be say and cry, but the difference is how long you wallow in the pits. You will do great!

I was reading this thread and went back to beginning of the thread. This topic about Changes has got me thinking about the changes we all go through in life. I would be interested in finding out more about the stress response and how to deal with such stresses brought on by changes in our lives. I found it interesting that even positive changes in a person environment can case stress. It does make sense to me. I was wondering if anyone else is interesting in exploring this topic?

I am back from interview #1 and I think I did ok. I did do the deep breathing and positive thinking. I took my time to answer the questions etc. I hope I did ok. I know I am new to the field but who knows, maybe they will give it to me!
Fingers crossed. Thanks for the support.
Hopefully interview #2 goes good.

Anxiety when you do something new is normal. It is no different from the anxiety you would feel if you were going somewhere exotic for a holiday. It is conditioning. You are leaving one stage of your life and entering another. We are conditioned to think of this as a big thing but in truth it is nothing more than going from one room to another. You may never use that room again but it is still there in your mind, it is not gone. Good luck with the interviews. Our hopes go with you.
We are here for you. Think positive and all will go well. Let us know how you do.
Davit.

I think change in general is harder for some people, like me! :) I am trying to transition from student to worker. Very difficult and I have 2 job interviews today. I am terrified. Change is so hard.

Hi Sadie,
Thanks so much for this post. I haven't posted on here in a while, but I stop by once in a while to read posts. This one was very nice to read, I must say! I am still in this too, one day at a time. One morning at a time!

Hello Everyone,
I think for everyone who is challenging their lives and what we have been dealt is a success story. I believe for myself my success is getting up everyday and saying to myself that i am still in this and i am not going to give up that one day i can live Panic free. For everyone who is still battling their thoughts and feelings keep up the good work and keep working the program, that is what has helped me and i have a ways to go, but it works.
